In fall 2021 we started to get more and more visits from Perra in the garden and the seating area scouting the location, getting to know the inns and outs of the surroundings and testing us the current tenants, if we were worthy of her presence.
By November she moved in, not asking any of us much, basically telling us and showing us that we were the chosen House, the chosen people, her people, and that for some reason we were her best option. After more than 2 months of almost daily Vet visits (she was in quite a bad shape after living on the streets for a while), special food and special care she started to rule the Household and to earn her keep. Perra started to keep the Kitchen tidy and clean (if you leave food out in the evening, there is a lot to clean up in the morning), she demanded the Royal Treatment and taught us all a little bit about boundaries, trust and how she wants and needs to be treated. In return she became our emotional support animal. She was our to go to in case you need love and cuddles, and definitely showed us a new perspective on cats.
She preferred to reside in following locations of the House: Lila Room (absolute favorite), Yellow studio, Terrace and chair in the main kitchen. Like all cats she choose to absolutely ignore any cat bed or house we bought and used the one with her name only enough to make the photo.

Whoever stayed in the house so far, even if usually allergic to cats, had absolutely no allergic issues with this one.
In Spring of 2023 Perra went over the Rainbowbridge, decided it was time, that we gave each other everything we could and is watching us from Cat heaven. But she left us with a gift of the house name that fits better than anything I could ever have come up with – Perra’s House.
